Slat 6s have a special sleeve, with a special gasket where it goes through the head, and special plug boots, but I don't see where he's talking about a slant 6. I think he's just talking about the perpetual flathead 6 problem of water filling up the plug wells and rusting the plugs. M37s are better than FFPWs that way because at least there isn't a leak directly over the head, but they fill up with water too. I always give them a good squirt of oil around the plug. Kind of messy and not something you'd want on a show rig, but it helps keep the threads from rusting. Nothing wrong with spraying the plugs with some aluminum paint either.
