OT Trip West Planning, POI's to see?

OK, I'm headed to Vegas, and will be making it a driving trip. I'm planning on making the drive a loop, going and returning via different routes.

One route is via the North, and is via US 36 in MO, I-29, I-80, I-76, I-70 & I-15
The other is via the South Route, and is via US 93, I-40 & I-44

I plan on visiting the Grand Canyon (North and South Rims), Hoover Dam and Meteor Crater.

Any other neat point along those routes I should consider?
