I tried to go to your photos with no luck. Some of the large block engines had full flow filtering - all oil was filtered and did not bypass to pan. Oil flowed from the pump to the filter and was then returned to the oil galley. A good clue would be larger original tubing like 1/2" steel tube verses the smaller tubing used for bypass filters. May not be your case, but without pictures or better description its tuff to ID. Have to run. Will check in tonight.
