Well this morning I was cutting it close for an appointment, so I hop into the truck, take a quick glance into the drivers side mirror and head on back. BANG! Right into the passenger door of my Wifes 05 Subaru Wagon. I still had the big weight distribution hitch and ball on from the Rally, and that was what made contact. I pulled forward to survey my handywork. Mirror dangling door all stove in, not a pretty sight.
The good news is, about 2 years ago I did the same thing, on the same door. I had sort of kept an eye open for a door without much luck, or much enthusiasm, as the door worked fine, but looked pretty bad. Now it looked worse, and barely opened. Called around today and found a replacement door, and it is even the right color! So, I will be doing a bit of late model body work this weekend.
My Wife took it pretty well, I had parked a trailer where she normally parks, so she wasnt where she normally parks. She was away the last 2 weeks, and it had crossed my mind to replace her door while she was away. I am REALLY glad I didnt do that!
By the way, not a scratch on the ol Ram!
