Taking the wife for a little ride yesterday, she has a broken leg and "Cabin Fever" is taking it's toll. About five miles from the house I see down in a bottom what appears to be a Power Wagon. It is just far enough away that I can't tell for sure. So, I go home and get the binoculars, the wife is telling me I'm crazy and I'm asking her if she is just now figuring that out. Go back and look thru the binoculars and sure enough, white Power Wagon, first series with a huge boom on the front and appears to be in very good condition. I drive around to the front of the property to see if I can find the owner. On the way, a man comes out of a pasture on a quad and I follow him to ask if he knows who owns it. Well, he is the owner,it's a 1948 but doesn't want to sell. Says he doesn't use it much but once in a while to pull an engine or well pump. I said that if he sold it to me I lived close enough that I would come pull them for him. He laughed and I thanked him for his time. But, he hasn't seen the last of me.
Never know what you will find in your own backyard, keep those eyes peeled. I have been down this road numerous times and either it wasn't there in that spot before or I just hadn't notice it.
Wish me luck, I want that truck. :-)
