David, last year the two batteries in my dodge ram would not hold a charge over night anymore and the truck needed to be either jump started in the morning, or I had to plug a charger on each of them for a good hour before it would fire the truck up. I did this routine for about a week, that got old real fast.

One day while in town I stopped at Napa, to check the price for two 700 amp batteries, $100 for each battery, ouch. I stopped at another place that sells batteries same price $100 each one. I said screw that, did not want to spend $200 in batteries that day, so I went home. I got home and had the hood open for other reason and noticed that both batteries were Wal-Mart batteries, I cleaned the date off of the top and they were less then 3 years old, by only a few months. I pulled them out and on the side it said 3 year free replacement warranty. Both of them were in the truck when I bought the truck (used) 2 years ago, but must have been fairly new when I bought it according to the date.

So I called Wal-Mart and told them I had two of their batteries in my truck that would no longer hold a charge over night. First thing they asked me was if I still had my receipt, I told her no I don't have it and cant seem to find what I did with it either, will you still honor the replacement warranty on them?? She said sure bring them in, so I put them in my wife's car and headed over there, they tested them and one of them put out 300 amps the other put out 350 amps, she put two new battery's in my cart and copied my drivers license, she said that way if I loose my receipt again it will be in the Wal-Mart computer, in case they go bad again before the new 3 year warranty is up on the two batteries that they gave me.

I was really surprised that they started the 3 year free replacement warranty over again on the exchange/new ones they gave me, but she said that is the way it works, it starts over again. I didn't not stand around to argue with her and headed for the door, with my two new free batteries.

I was happy that day!!!
