That's really the difference. It's just that the Al's/Schucks/Kragen/O'Reilly's conglomerate has mostly strip mall stores that don't stock anything and kids who can't find anything unless it's in the computer. Find a dumpy-looking store run by an old timer who still keeps the paper parts books and has several suppliers he can call, and it doesn't really matter what brand name is on the sign out front.
