I just got done rebuilding one of the Gemmer type boxes on my boss's '58 Dodge D100 are you talking about a Flat fender or a Power Giant?? on the Gemmer boxes the horn wire comes out The bottom of the steering gear box through a small hole (which is actually a tube connected to the bottom plate that holds the bearing and race in. I could send you the diagram that we used. it was very accurate within about one little seal.
