On pos. ground system the Ign wire goes to the Neg terminal on the coil. Pos goes to dist.
Positive ground right?, just opposite from normal Neg ground system.
With the cap off pull out the High Voltage coil wire from the cap and hold it about 1/8 to 1/4 away from head or engine block. and take a screw driver and open or close the points or open the points with the blade then short the tip of the blade to the dist plate.
Spark should jump.
If it don't,bad coil,if it does bad points.
