Any responsible company's highest concern should be safety. The last thing they want is an OSHA investigation resulting from an injury caused by failure to comply with sling inspection and condition policies. Such inspections almost always find other non-compliance instances in a facility. The whole scene just gets worse.

If they are meeting their sling training requirements they would know all this. Your circumstances would seem to imply they are not meeting their sling training requirements.

Perhaps you could point these things out to someone in a politically sensitive way, so they could recognize the risk they face.

New slings are cheap in comparison to any of these alternatives.
