The cables have no thimbles, but they are wrapped around a hook that is rather skinny. I am also pretty sure that the hook has a casting line down the center of it, which only makes it worse. I will look into it more. We just broke a .6" cable and dropped a 60k pound beam because of no thimbles, right after I told them it was going to happen. Not very trustworthy right now.
