Home made harness are fine if done right. Some trucks with all there different engines and add ons need a custom harness. But 10 ,20 years later and you have a problem can you go to a book and to see how that circuit works. NO and that's were the problem lies. My First Jeep my father and I restored had a home made wire harness. 20 years later the brakes lights stay on all the time and it wasn't the switch. I ended up changing the brake light wiring because I could not figure out what we did 20 years ago. I'm all for saving money but I like saving time to for me if it is a stock truck then I would call Vintage Wiring of Main. Good Stuff. Dont be penny wise and dollar short. good luck Bill.
