In seeing the ad on tv (filmed in Detroit btw) It goes like this: someone steals your vehicle and the cops are in pursuit of the vehicle, they can contact the Onstar operator and give them the information on the vehicle. Onstar is able to flash the flasher lights (to confirm target vehicle) and then kill the ignition to the vehicle bringing it to a stop.
