Thanks for your tutorial on rebuilding the knuckles. I read it over several times before I stated on mine.

I found your comment on being able to do this job on a Saturday wildly optimistic (at least for me). Maybe, if you have a totally clean vehicle, all the parts available, your brakes are in good shape, and have done it before, it is possible to do the job in one day.

I have a lift and air tools which a lot of people don't have. Still, there is no way I could rebuild the knuckles in one day. Remember, that you will probably be doing a total brake overhaul along the way. It took the better part of a day to get to the knuckles and disassemble them, then clean and paint the parts. Knowing which parts you are going to need and having them all on hand is pretty much impossible. The average shade tree mechanic should expect several days of work and parts chasing, not to mention $500 or so.
