Matt, not to rain on your parade, the bedsides L@@K GREAT!! If I needed a set I would buy some, all my PW's are 1947-1950 though right now.
I have had two 1951 (with factory beds) PW's and neither of them had the dimple in the bedsides. I have also looked at a few other 1951's & 1952's that did Not have them either, ( I have some pictures of them if you care to see them??) it might have something to do with the fact that Dodge did Not start making the bigger utline fender for the regular pickups until 1953 model year, the 1948-1952's had the smaller fender that only went in the wheel-well kind of like a PW did.
