The truck originally was purchased by Calgary Power Alberta Canada in July 1951 and used as a service truck at their Canmore hydroelectric plant near Calgary. In 1986/87 they restored it and used it as a parade/ PR tool until sometime in the 90s. It then went into storage until auctioned off to a collector near Red Deer who I purchased it from in February of 2008.
I've got receipts for over ten thousand at Vintage Power Wagons for parts and labor to make it a really special collector piece. It needs a new home. I have the original invoice from July 1951 for the truck as well as a binder full of receipts from the restoration done by the power company back in the 80s. The truck was at the Power Wagon Rally this summer in Fairfield, Iowa.
