First thing to do is to take the pan off and see what is in there. From that you can make a decision.
To have a shop do it will cost $3K = or - depending on what they do and what you want to assemble. Find a shop that works on these engines. You do not want someone who is use to slapping Chevy V8s together. It is better to have someone with some Dodge flathead 6 knowledge.
