I have been reading a lot of the conversion for my present project. You need to change the orfice, o rings, hi/lo fittings, evacuate the old oil and replace with different oil and then charge. The R134 charge is less than the R12 was. Castrol makes a conversion kit available for $39.00. Castrol claims it includes everything needed to convert from R12 to R134a
