I gutted the old fiber etc, left the riser tube in the center (it makes a longer intake ), cut an aluminum donut for the bottom, and a big 'washer' to go into the top, found that a Cal-Custom replacement filter for their chrome housing fit fine. Make sure it is tall enough, or air can't get in. ALSO SHEARED OFF THE 'SKIRT' TO JUST BELOW VISIBLE. Oops Cap lock stuck. Silicone in the aluminum parts, don't want dirt getting sucked around them.

Now we'll start the old argument about which is better. Oil bath is a better filter, needs more maintenance. And bottoms rust out in a mere fifty years.
