Some people double them up but in my experience one will work fine.
I love the old seal with the felt dirt shield and the thickness but I get burned every time I try to use the NOS seals. I know it is mind numbing to put it something thinner in a place that had a substantialy larger seal, but it will work. If you need extra assurance double them up.
