If this item says "US Army Air Forces" rather than "US Air Force", then it could indeed be WWII vintage since that's what they called it after 1941, however the nomenclature on the bag is clearly "U.S. AIRFORCE". Also, I'm not sure that even within the "Army Air Forces" of WWII, items were procured with "Force" markings, rather than just "U.S. Army" or "U.S. Property". That's getting into the realm of serious WWII militaria collectors, of which there are many, but I'm not one.

On my dad's WWII souvenirs, everything either says "U.S. Army Air Forces" or it just has a part number and contract number, but no designation as to the branch of service. I have two E-6B navigator's computers, one made of metal that says "U.S. Army Air Forces", and one made of black plastic with glow-in-the-dark markings that simply has a contract number and manufacturer. The invitation to his graduation from Navigation School begins, "The Army Air Forces Navigation School, Selman Field...", but inside it is a small card that says "Donald E. Sherman, Lieutenant Air Corps, Army of the United States." This was in 1944, so at that point, both the terms "Air Corps" and "Air Forces" were in overlapping use, but no "U.S. AIRFORCE".
