I think I may know what at least part of the problem with my engine is. I realized about two seasons ago I had been working on the motor with several weeks in between each step and I must have moved the dist drive gear because the dist. isn't in the same spot,( using the vacuum advance for a reference.) and while I can adjust the ignition timing it doesn't solve the problem. so I need to know if that's screwing up my valve timing in realtion to the ignition timing? I had forgotten about that problem. ugh feel so stupid. how do I position it correctly in relation to the camshaft?? I am flustered! I know I have to pop the top again..............d@!*it I also checked several other things just to rule them out (changed coil,ECU,adjusted ignition timing. I haven't checked the valve train adjustment again yet)
