Transfercase seal question

I'm trying to replace the seals on my '59 W100 NP201. I replaced the frt out put seal with a National 410308.
My Parts guy who used a book! gave me 410308 for the frt input, when I took it apart there was a normal seal and a felt seal. Does this sound normal? Does anyone know the felt seal number?
