I've had a bunch of stuff/car/truck parts shipped up from the US.

I either use an 'international bank draft (usd)' or paypal for payment

The parts will have to go through customs, depending on the cost of the parts and how it was shipped you may or may not have to pay duty/brokerage.

Items valued OVER 20$usd (i think that's the amount), you will have to pay provincial taxes on it when it crosses the border, if you use a 3rd party shipper, like Fedex, UPS, etc you will likely have to pay brokerage... I don't believe USPS has brokerage fees (or I've never been hit with them).

USPS is normally sufficient, but i wouldn't bother getting any Tracking on the USPS, since once it crosses the border its non-trackable inside Canada; just make sure you get insurance on the item just in case.
