Thanks for the suggestions and comments...

Yes Joe... I will need help posting pictures.

I plan on using a mix of 1:diesel 1: acetone and 2: parts ATF directly in the cylinders and around the available valve stems.

As crazy has it first seems, circulating hot water in the block might have some value ... however moving the truck from the barn to the house and connecting to the hot water tank might triggers some unwanted feedback from the wife...

Opening up the side valve cover would be option # 2 after checking for movement at the flywheel..... I like the hand rotation of the rear wheel back and forth as a gentle way of putting pressure on parts with out risking too much damage.

..and Bill... YES I know Frank and Wilf... both a outstanding individuals although crazy at times.... depends on the rum...was chatting with Frank last Saturday in Oshawa.

On the rodents....yes a friend, Phil in N.H., found 32 acorns inside the cylinders of a chev 6.... chippy had climbed from the exhaust to the innards of the engine and got around some of the open valves.

Will post pictures of my work in progress on the CMP as well as my 56 C4 PW.

Thanks for making me feel welcome.

Bob Carriere
