I bought this truck this spring, with the intent of parting it out. Mainly I wanted the Model 700 radio and the headliner. After getting it home, I quickly realized it was way too nice to scrap, so I will be removing the radio and headliner. I have put a new carb on it, flushed out the fuel system, replaced some brake line, and will be doing some work on the stake body this weekend. This truck starts very easily, runs very well and stops well.
It is a 1960, W-100 with a factory winch, (it works) and a factory stake bed. The bed is equipped with what appears to be a factory pipe frame to support a canvas cover. It has a factory oversize steering wheel and steers like a dream. It is equipped with a factory pintle, and an aftermarket ball hitch. It is set up with an electric brake controller. Most of the lights work, I tried them but have not pursued fixing any of the ones that didnt work.
The front fenders will take a lot of work to repair, but they are fixable. The cab has some rust in the step area. The frame is very solid. Other than that it isnt too bad. Neither door has the main glass installed in it, but I have 1 new piece and one with a crack in it. The other glass is all good.
I will have this truck at the Vermont Rally if it hasnt sold, come see it and drive it around.
Price is $2,000. I can deliver it to the New England area fr an additional charge. I can be reached either by email or my cell phone. (802) 989-4106
And dont worry, Joe will get a cut too.
Thanks,
Tim
