Yes, it looks like it to me. I dont know if there were different ring gears but I do recall that the one Eric said to get was from a car, not a truck. I picked it up right at my local small town parts store and other than having to relieve the side of the casting, it was a direct bolt in. The ebay listing also seems to say it fits a 6 cylinder, but I am not aware of 3 bolt starters on any 6's from the 50s. Slant 6 maybe?
I would love to hear Eric chime in and confirm all of this, nobody needs an orphan starter sitting on the shelf that almost kinda worked.
