Thank to each and every one of them. They either lived through Hades or died in Hades. Any many never could have a restful night the rest of their lives. Thank you, thank you and thank you.
Let's also not forget all the women who served in WWII as front line nurses and support. They also paid dearly for their service as did out men.
I can still remember one of my junior high teachers telling us her story. She was in the service and ended up on Normandy and through out Europe. Her parents knew she was in England but then lost track of her until her photo at Normandy showed up in Life magazine.
