I had a friend (gone now) who was a civilian in the Bataan Death March. He rarely spoke of the horrors he and his mates endured. He loved his country and never complained about the gov'ts neglect of these men. We could have done more for these forgotten heroes. Japan should have been held more accountable and should still be paying reparations to these men.
