I felt that 8" was a reasonable stretch without moving the body mounts back. Plus, cutting down the bed 8" leaves plenty much bed without stretching the frame. It's all doable, more than one way to stretch a cat.

Hmm, How about a 5 window mod, plus small side windows ? Club Cab? Wonder what kind of donor windows could be found in the junk yard, something operable, pivoting vents maybe? Wouldn't need a whole nuther cab for doors and door frames, use front folding seats for access to rear bench? Or jump seat in back? How many little shavers have you got? Cut bed down to 6', put spare on a frame mount ala WWII dodges, in same location as now?
