There are different ways/opinions, I dont support driving her down with a drift. By so doing the bearing is not going down perfectly square as you tap on different sides. I like to use a large wrist pin or old deep socket. You want something that will perfectly fit the center hub of the bearing, NOT on the cage. Lube the trunion, set the bearing on square, then with a wrist pin or deep socket as a driver send her home with some well placed hammer blows. When she bottoms out, you will hear the metallic ring.

I have pictures on my Steering knuckl album using a old deep socket. Time, 10 to 15 seconds and its on.
