if i had more depth in my stable of vehicles - i would have a 12v project. it would likely be wrapped in a grand wagoneer or powerwagon. i like dead simple technology like the lehman 120 in my boat and the 230 in my command car. a 12v would fit in nicely. my gmc yukon with the 6000 vortech engine has proven dependable in 150k of service and replaced a 350 equipped yukon with 200k+ trouble free miles. the megacab is great for the kids and great for my use. with the comforts in the 2010, the kids would never go backward from a megacab to a smaller crew. the peace and quiet the sirius tv provides is worth 5mpg easy!
