Just hauled a another "parts truck" home which leads to a question. It is a '46 WDX sn #83900521 w/ 4 pocket bed. It has what look like nautical style "cleats" around the outside of the bed and tailgate. Also on the rear post of the bed. They look like factory issue. Any comments of early style tie downs for WDX?

(Wrestling that animal onto a trailer w/o axles was an adventure in "Power Wagoning". Of course the truck was at the bottom of a ridge with trees growing through the floor & engine area.What we will do for straight sheet metal.)
