happens to be the second PW that was discraded after serious ranch use in the Texas Hill County, by my rich friend's family. They used a mid 60s Crew Cab at their ranch in Utopia, later was the site of the second Texas Power Wagon Reunion. Perhaps this was the first Power Wagon I acknowledged back around 1983. One day it was no longer there, so I asked what happened to it, they had it hauled off.

In 1995, we visited their big ranch near Rocksprings, took my 57 Town Wagon PW. The ranch foreman looked at it and proceeded to tell me of the Power Wagon they just gave to the mechanic up the road, it was a flat fender.

Seems he wanted a parts truck for a 52 PW fire truck, that was given to him by the rural Divide VFD. Previously, I spoke with the VFD about the truck, but neglected to look at it becasue they said it was an open top Dodge and I assumed it was an M37, so was not intersted. Turned oiut to be an Open top Flat Fender PW, and I could have gotten it for just about nothing.

I am going to the big ranch again, today, to
enjoy the abundant game to hunt on 16,000 acres at the headwaters of the East Nueces River. I will go to check on the Power Wagons again, the ones I missed out on.

Darn!
