I had to have the butterfly shaft holes reamed, which required an oversized shaft. This was for another application (British SU Carbs), but I'm sure a similar process must be out there.

With a little engineering you could do it yourself. You'd need a reamer for the carb holes that was slightly smaller than the bushing you want to install (.001-.002 smaller), then you press fit the bushing into place and ream them to final size for your shaft.

All manner of precision reamers are available from tool supply houses like Rutland- so finding the apropriate size shouldn't be a problem.

....or just find a good old timey carb shop to do it for you! It shouldn't be too expensive.
