There is plenty of room to change sparkplugs and work on the distributer.

I saw Ray's conversion, but don't have any photos of it.

While the engineering approach is quite different, Chris Davis' 318 conversion places the engine in about the same location as Ray's, though Chris' engine sits a bit further forward. I think Chris' engine sits a bit more to the passenger side, because the photos on his website shows the oil pabn having to be hammered back for clearance. That does not have to be done with Ray's kit. (You supply a rear sump truck pan, pickup tube and dipstick).

The drivers side is the tight side, because the original engine is offset in that direction. I can't see which exhaust manifold Chris used. On Ray's kit, you need a 2nd passenger side center dump exhaust, and the frame has to be notched a wee bit to clear, emphasis on wee bit.
