Here's my two cents too. Have original 5 hole 1949 PW wheels machined down to fit into gama goat 18" wheels(there are 8 tabs that the welds connect to.Made the offset such that the outside edge of the tire was plumb with the edge of the fender. Put them on the 49 PW(stock engine) and drove from Palm Desert, Ca. to Alsask, Alberta. Slow uphill but fast downhill.tires are 1100X18,not sure about diameter, but they are tall. The gama goat tires/wheels are not only split rim, but also tubeless. I agree with the comments about safety and split rims, but my level of safety is dropping them off, paying the 10 bucks and getting out of earshot. Then installed the wheels on my wc53 with V8 and that seems to work very well. Both trucks have 5.83 gearing. Helitool makes a center bolt in plate for rhe gama goat wheel and this would be probably even better as they would balance out, be true , hence run smoother. I like the scale and the looks of the gama goat wheel on the trucks as opposed to seeing a smaller wheel/center and lots of sidewall.
