Mike, unless your a Chevy engine guy and feel more comfortable with a Chevy, why not put a 318 in your truck? I'n not advocating all Dodge its just that with a reasonably priced kit on the market how can it get any easier? Put a NP435 in it while your at it!
A while back I read a motor shoot out article between the big three with off the shelf parts and the 318 put out more than either the 350 or 351. Of course if you already have a 350 lying around thats a different story.
