Turbocharging a flathead? I don't think that would last too long.
The main benefit would be of course fuel economy which would approximately double. 3700 rom is actually quite high for a diesel. We are told by those who know that one doesn't want to run a flathead at sustained rpms over 2500, about 78% of max. power rpm, even though it's rated at 3200. It has a primitive splash-only lubrication system for the bottom end bearings, only 4 main bearings, etc. The Mitsubishi has 7 main bearings, a modern better lube system, and I'm quite confident could be run at 33-3400 all day, though it would get best economy if geared for about 25-2600 at 60 mph in highest gear in a 6000 lb vehicle. And an add-on overdrive like a Ranger (in front of a NP420 for example) would give a very helpful 1.24 3rd-OD gear. With 5.83s, a Ranger, and 35-36" tires gearing would be perfect: 2450 @ 60 in 4th-OD.
Look, I know this isn't cost-effective. Owning one of the trucks isn't cost-effective, period! No matter what you do or don't do to it. But somewhere out there some guy might think he wants a diesel in his Dodge, and if so I want to help him, and help prevent him from messing up and doing a engineering mistake that will crap up his performance.
