In the last forum I posted that I had recieved my Danbury Mint 1946 Wrecker
and I already have the 1946 DM PW Pickup. I mentioned that the precision detail and operating features were perfect on these trucks.
However, I made mention that the hoods were flat unlike the rounded hood of my real life 1952 PW. (Now sold).
I recently subscribed to PWA and in one of the back issues I recieved is a picture of what must be a early, (1946 or 47) PW.
I noticed the hood on that truck was flat similar to the WC series.
My question is --- Are the early PWs 'equipped' with flattened hoods ? Is that an easy way to tell a early PW if you ran across one before you ascertain the year ?
