Yup, as the others said, adjust them to spec.
Mine still clatters a bit even though adjusted. I suspect it's due to badly worn valve guides as well as worn tappets and tappet bores. Hell, above 2000 rpm the fan noise will drown it out anyway. Think of that as acoustic perfume...
