Mine is bored .080 with no problems. 3 years ago when I had all the machinw work done including balancing, it cost about 1500.00 including some modification to the block to make water tube replacement a bit easier next time. Parts ran me another 1000.00, and I did the assembly. My advice-- if you are going to go with a V8, do it now, cause the 230 won't bring a whole lot of money. If you want, I have a block you can have for nothing-- I took the crank and rods. I live in Weatherford, Texas by the way
