If you feel like fixing it without pulling the engine, and you can pry off the remains of the old bearing, I have an in-frame crankshaft grinder you can borrow. You need clearance around the frame for the grinder in that area, and you need to jack the truck up pretty high, but it worked dandy the one time I used it. Find out what sizes of rod bearings are available and then cut the crank to fit (plus oil clearance).

The bigger issue, though, is why #6 wasn't getting oil. If none of the other rod or main bearings looks like it overheated, some piece of gunk must have gotten jammed in the oil passage to #6. I'm not sure just how that crank is drilled. Maybe you can take the nearby main bearing cap off, turn the crank the right way, and stick pipe cleaner through to push the gunk out. Personally, I wouldn't feel good about putting the engine back together until I actually found the cause of the problem and saw it for real. Plus, if gunk clogged the oil passage to #6, how much other gunk is in the oil system? Remember it's a bypass oil filter so not all oil gets filtered. Maybe somebody used a bunch of RTV on the oil pan gasket or a bunch of teflon tape on an oil line fitting or oil gallery plug, and that's what plugged the passage.
