Not too many could make it lock up. In the "quit" category, it could be a broken timing belt, but it doesn't have one, a bad computer, but it doesn't have one, a bad smog sensor, but it doesn't have any, a broken distributor drive, stripped distributor rotor (I had that once), or any electrical failure in the ignition primary circuit (plausible), carburetor suddenly jammed up, fuel pump quit, or deteriorated fuel line blocked. But since you can't turn the motor by hand or with the starter, that eliminates all fuel, electrical, or timing issues and it's well and truly jammed inside.
