Hi Paul. The cover is missing. I was prying on the teeth on the ring gear to move the engine as much as I could. I'll get a light under the truck and check things out from that direction. I plan to first pull the plugs and make sure there isn't any sign of coolant in any of the cylinders. Then I will drop the oil pan and check in there. The absence of any noise when it stopped is what is strange to me.
