Diesels have much higher maintenance costs and buying costs unless one keeps it 10 years it is much costlier to own. I have both but the w 300 is getting a 318. gas is cheaper than the cost of changing everything and maintenance costs. Compared to changing it over to a diesel based on its limited use.
