all 25 inch blocks have no offset to the journals. they are centered. he might have been doing 6 K it is just a matter of how long it will last. I run 3000 to 3200 daily in WCs and PWs. (when i had one on the road). They are designed to run there all day. when you exceed 3200 for extended time periods you enter a risky area and shorten the life of the engine.
