I did not say the cubes had anything to do with it, just posted some comments I found on another site, claiming which motors came with the offset and which ones didn't. they claim the opposite of you, I personally don't know, but was wondering if the offset was the reason for all hell breaking loose after 3500. Interesting that the one fellow said he was spinning a 218 at 6000 with a 10 to 1 compression. He even went as far as to say "Honestly the sound a flathead mopar 6 makes at 6000 RPM is very sweet", but in the same breath says the problem is the long stroke.
