On my 99 and my 2001 24 valves I just had a muffler with no catalytic converter. I know that the 99 was bone stock as I had bought from and elderly gentleman who was the original owner.I just put the Jacobs on my 2006 with the six speed and it works very well and was told by the local Cummins dealer that they will not sell the Jacobs kit to the owners of the automatics due to the fact the trannies burn out from to much drag.
