all rust converters work pretty well but only if you have stripped of the visible rust and done your best to get it out of the hard to get places. then treat with multiple coats. Applied corretly it can stop rust dead in its tracks if the rust is not too deep into the pores of the metal. If your rust is bad and scaley the converter really wont do much. The stuff i have been using for 20 years is called Fertan. It was developed decades ago for inustrial outdoor applications. And though not desinged to be eco friendly it happens to be non toxic, and biodegradeable. you mix it with water and spray or wipe on. with each application it goes deeper into the metal. the other brands do not, they build up in layers. In this pic the frame has been treated a few times with Fertan and water after wire wheeling the frame. the pic was taken 9 months later and truck had been sitting outside all winter in Western Washingon getting rained and snowed on regularly. the bed strips I had not touched yet. they were just sitting there so I could do some figuring. But see the frame.
